features four smartphones playing looped footage of two sections of contemporary dance pieces- 'Rosas danst rosas' by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, and 'The Nelken Line' by Pina Bausch, both of which has gained new popularity via social media. Over the course of two months, I learned and filmed each piece before 'performing' them via multiple smartphones, replicating the group dance element.
'Rosas danst rosas'is traditionally performed by four dancers on chairs. 'The Nelken Line' is performed by a line of dancers walking in a line.
The imperfect loop effect of each device created a staggered effect going in and out of time with the other devices.
